The Longest River: An Arts, Music and Marine Science Fusion

The Marine Institute in association with Culture Ireland present the renowned Cois Cladaigh Choir, Uilleann Piper Eugene Lambe and Harpist Kathleen Loughnane from Galway who will perform a repertoire of traditional and contemporary music from Ireland and Europe.

Professor John Delaney of the University of Washington will showcase our oceans through rarely seen film footage and photography of the deep seas. The longest River event is under the patronage of both Ms Maria Damanaki and Ms Máire Geoghan Quinn, member of the European Commission.
