This Sunday (26 May), the Irish Presidency team in Brussels will take a brief break from managing the affairs of the EU Council, to take to the streets and avenues of the Belgian capital in a 20km race in aid of charity.
Over 75 runners will don specially-designed Irish Presidency gear and join some 36,000 runners in the 34th annual Brussels 20K race in aid of the Irish Hospice foundation.
Illustrative of the Irish Presidency’s excellent cooperation with the other Brussels institutions, runners from the Irish Permanent Representation to the EU will be joined by runners from the European Commission, the Council of the EU, the European External Action Service, the European Parliament, colleagues from Ireland, friends of the Representation and a small but dedicated multinational element.
The team have raised significant sponsorship to date – but can do more! All donations, small, medium or large, are hugely welcome.
Good luck everyone!
